  3. From the mixture, make small balls.
  4. The balls will be ready for use one hour later, once they dry.

First, make sure that the cockroaches can’t access any food particles. Clean your house thoroughly.

Then, make sure that your water pipes are in excellent condition and that they have proper insulation.

Where to Put the Borax Balls

You need to think creatively and practically when placing these balls. They need to be put close to the surface, so that the cockroaches can see them. You need to find the cockroaches’ headquarters. In order to do that, turn off the lights at night for a few hours. Then, go to the area quietly, turn on the lights very quickly and observe the cockroaches.

The way they are going might give you an idea of their headquarters. Also, their smell is really weird. Moreover, as previously mentioned, they like to be near water and food. These balls should be put around the crevices and cracks around and in furniture, doors and walls. Furthermore, appliances like the fridge and the stove. Cockroaches feel safe there.

You also need to check the cupboards, basements, electronics, sewer and drains systems. Additionally, these pests can hide in the bathroom.

Sealing Walls

It is of vital importance to seal any crevices or cracks on your cupboards and walls using silicon. Cockroaches sometimes enter our homes through our clothes. For this reason, make sure that the items you bring inside don’t have any pests on them.

Disinfect Walls in This Way

It is very important that the surfaces which are contaminated by cockroaches are properly disinfected. In order to do this, you can mix soapy water and baking soda. Put on latex gloves and wipe the walls. Don’t forget to constantly clean the cloth, since by doing that you stop the spread of contaminants. Finally, wipe the walls with a wet and clean microfiber cloth.

You need persistence and patience, but be positive that you will eliminate cockroaches from your home.
