The National Cancer Institute Quietly Confirmed that Cannabis Treats Cancer

You probably haven’t noticed an influx in the mainstream media about the link between cancer treatment and marijuana because there haven’t been any.

However, this a quite strange since the National Cancer Institute has already announced that cannabis can efficiently treat cancer.

They stated on their FAQ page that studies in rats and mice had shown that cannabinoids can prevent tumor growth by killing cells, impeding the cells growth, and preventing the development of blood vessels which are necessary for the growth of the tumors. Moreover, they also wrote that cannabinoids can destroy cancer cells and protect the normal cells at the same time.

Furthermore, the NCI also lists a couple of studies that corroborate their statement.

This Should Be Covered By the Media

The public is definitely inundated with articles and stories about this terrible disease. Nevertheless, this is probably by far the most important cancer story ever, yet its media coverage has been very low.

This happens for several reasons. First, marijuana does not fit the popular narrative, and it is terribly wrong to admit that marijuana has in fact potent medicinal properties.

To add, 88% of all drug arrests between 2001 and 2012 have been for marijuana possession. Marijuana is classified as Schedule 1 substance, which is one step above cocaine.

We Also Mustn’t Forget that Cancer Is a $100 Billion Per Year Industry

It is expected this number to rise to$147 billion by the year of 2018.

Just imagine if everybody had a simple herb in their backyard and that herb could be cure for cancer. This could be very troublesome for the pharmaceutical industry.

People all over the world are being forced to violate the law so as to keep themselves healthy.

This is not the case with cancer only. Also, parents whose children have epilepsy are forced to act against the law in order to end their children’s sufferings.

The medical industry is supposed to be about progress and innovation, but I can say I see either in this case.
