This year the Harvest Moon will be on September 6th, 2017. The Harvest Moon is the Full Moon that falls closest to the Autumnal Equinox (first day of fall). The Harvest Moon is usually in September but on rear occasions can occur in the early part of October. This year the Autumnal Equinox is Sept. 22 making the Full Moon on Sept 6th the Harvest Moon for 2017.
