This is based on the National Cancer Institutes’ statistics:
- 1,685,210 cases in 2016 will be diagnosed with cancer in the U.S. and 595,690 of them will die from this disease;
-These are the most common cancer in 2016: pancreatic cancer, endometrial cancer, leukemia, kidney and renal pelvis cancer, thyroid cancer, non- Hodgkin lymphoma, melanoma of the skin, bladder cancer, colon and rectum cancer, prostate cancer, lung and bronchus cancer and breast cancer;
-Based on the 2008- 2012 cases, the new number of cases of cancer is 454.8 per 100,000 women and men in a year;
-Based on the 2008- 2012 deaths, the cancer mortality is 171.2 in 100,000 women and man in a year;
-Based on the 2008- 2012 deaths, the cancer mortality is higher in men than women, about 145.4 in 100,000 women and 207.9 in 100,000 men. It’s lowest is in Asian-Pacific Islander women around 91.2 in 100,000 and the highest in African American men, around 261.5 in 100,000;
-The number of individuals in 2014 that live beyond cancer diagnosis is nearly 14.5 million and until 2024 it is expected to rise up to 19 million;
-Based on 2010- 2012 data, about 39.6 % of women and men will be cancer diagnosed at some point of lifetime;
-An estimated 15.780 adolescents and children (0-19 years of age) were diagnosed with cancer in 2014 and 1.960 of them died of the disease;
-The U.S’s National expenditures for cancer cure add up to 125 billion dollars in 2010 and until 2020 it could reach to 156 billion dollars;
Recent statistics say that one in three women and one in two men will develop cancer in their lifetimes. But, the way we “treat” this disease is not as effective as we think of it and it makes the symptoms worse. A former professor of medical physics and physiology, Dr. H. B. Jones claims that chemotherapy does not work and it is a trick of the billion- dollar cancer industry. He also says that the doctors are prescribing chemotherapy treatment because they are getting money for that. It makes it more reasonable when we hear how much does an average treatment cost. It cost between 300,000 dollars and 1 million dollars.
Based on the Dr. Jones’ research in the last 25 years, he came up to the conclusion that this treatment does much harm to the patients than the cancer itself. He claims that those individuals who refused this treatment lived 12 years longer than those ones who accepted chemotherapy. People who accepted it lived in time frame of three years or much faster than that. Also, he says that people with breast cancer who haven’t accepted a chemotherapy treatment lived 4 times longer than people who undergo this treatment.
8,713 dollars per capita are spent by America on health care, more than other high-income nation and the life expectancy is 78.8 years. This is because the media and the health-care system is focused on treating condition and diseases instead of teaching the people of the preventive medicine’s importance. That is why people need to educate themselves about treating different conditions and diseases. Having a not stressing life, healthy diet, enjoying life and exercising are great things for health improvements and living much longer and happier life.
