  4. Roll your neck– Stand with your spine upright. Turn your head sideways so that your chin becomes parallel to your shoulder. Make sure your eyes are looking off to the side, too. Roll your head slowly downward, then up to the other side. Do 10 repetitions.
  5. Platysma exercise– This exercise targets the muscle connecting your jaw with your neck – the platysma muscle. Get into standing position with your neck erect. Pull your lips up over your teeth while turning the corners of your mouth downward, as if you were frowning, in order to tighten the tendons in your jaw. Hold the position for 10 seconds then relax. Repeat 10 times.
  6. The tennis ball exercise– Place a tennis ball against your throat while holding it with your chin. Press your chin tightly against the ball then slightly release. Do 10 repetitions.

Study Finds That Taking Turmeric Juice Is Equivalent To 60 Minutes Of Exercise

Turmeric is undoubtedly one of the most health beneficial spices on the planet. Although it has a millennia-long history of use in Asian natural medicine and culinary tradition, this spice has only recently started to gain popularity, especially in the Western world.

At present there are more than 5,000 studies confirming that this root is more beneficial in treatment of cancer, arthritis, diabetes, and depression than conventional therapies.

The last study on this herb found that turmeric can effectively reduce the risk of heart attack in the same way as three 60-minute workouts a week when taken regularly at a daily dose of one teaspoon.

Study Details

The study covered a period of 8 weeks and included 32 postmenopausal women, who were assigned to 3 groups – an exercise group, a turmeric group and a control group. The study subjects didn’t make any other dietary or lifestyle changes. Furthermore, an ultrasound device was used by the researchers to assess the endothelium (the inner lining of their blood vessels) of each participant. To be more specific, flow-mediated arterial dilation was measured to evaluate arterial elasticity, which is essential for blood vessels health.

During the trial, the turmeric group was given the equivalent of 1 teaspoon of turmeric a day while the exercise group did supervised aerobic exercise training 2-3 times a week plus an unspecified amount of home-based training, such as cycling and walking. Each session lasted between 30-60 minutes and ranged in intensity between 60-75% of maximal heart rate.

At the end of the study, the researchers found that both the turmeric and the exercise group had greatly improved endothelial function. But the most interesting thing was that the results of both groups were almost identical, which indicates that daily turmeric intake provides the same effect as daily exercise in preventing, reducing and even reversing endothelial dysfunction and atherosclerosis.

No Surprise

This study followed a 2012 study conducted by the Chiang Mai University of Thailand. The Thai study revealed that turmeric reduced the frequency of heart attack after coronary artery bypass by 56% when turmeric was administered daily 3 days before surgery and 5 days post-surgery. The spice influenced the cardiovascular system by modulating C-reactive protein, plasma maondialdehyde, and N-terminal pro-B-type naturietic peptide levels.

In the words of the researchers: “The antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of curcuminoids may account for their cardioprotective effects shown in this study…curcuminoids decrease proinflammatory cytokines during cardiopulmonary bypass surgery and decrease the occurrence of cardiomyocytic apoptosis after cardiac ischemia/reperfusion injury in animal models.”

In other words, turmeric can reduce inflammation and protect endothelium cells against damage and death.

The best way to reap turmeric’s cardiovascular benefits is to include a teaspoon of turmeric powder into your daily dietary regimen. You can also opt for a glass of freshly squeezed turmeric juice daily. To increase the absorption of turmeric into your body, you should combine it with coconut or olive oil and black pepper.

Last, but not least, making your own turmeric capsules is also an option if you don’t like the taste of turmeric.

Note: When including turmeric into your diet, it’s important to remember not to mix it with other medications.

Also, turmeric can’t replace all the benefits of regular physical activity. A minimum of half an hour a day being active is strongly recommended for overall health.

Breast Cancer Tumors Were Destroyed By the Scientists in Amsterdam in 11 Days Without Chemo

According to the all scientific studies, around 1 in 8 US women will develop breast cancer in the lifetime. However, the scientists in Amsterdam may have found a breakthrough for the most common cancer in women, to get rid of it forever.

Breast Cancer Breakthrough

A pair of meds known as Lapatnib and Herceptin were tested in Amsterdam by Prof. Nigel Bundred. The scientists also combined these meds together for the first time and used them before chemotherapy and surgery. The scientists succeeded to kill some kinds of breast cancer in only 11 days.

The “Cancer Research UK” used these medications to fight protein known as HER2, which actually affects the division and growth of cancer cells. Compared with other cancer types, it is more likely to return this type of cancer.

The fact that it eliminates the need for surgery and chemotherapy makes this powerful treatment so appealing. The side effects such as fatigue, vomiting and hair loss will be avoided definitely. Any alternatives are welcomed because chemo is not the right solution for many people and it’s not entirely effective.

Results From The Study

The research included 257 women with breast cancer. Half of the women were the control group and half being put on a drug combo. The study has shown that in just 2 weeks, women who took the drug, 17% of cases featured significantly shrunken tumors and 11% of them had no cancer cells.

The control group who only took Herceptin, 3% of them showed a drop in tumor size and 97% had no trace of cancer cells. The combination between these two drugs had extremely powerful effect on thus type of cancer, as opposed to be used on their own.

According to its licensing, Herceptin is only available to be used alongside chemotherapy. However, we hope that the results of this study will change that though.

This is enormous step in the battle against this disease, although there is still a lot of work to be done. It is entirely possible that this can happen sooner than we think due to these medical advancements!!!

There has been a lot of discussion on the topic of aluminum (active ingredient) and parabens (as a preservative) usage in these products, and the connection to the appearance of estrogen-like effects when absorbed by the skin. This was mainly due to the fact that hormonal imbalances, especially higher estrogen levels contribute to the proliferation of breast cancer cells. The claims only got louder when a study confirmed the presence of parabens in tissue samples from human breast tumors. However, the study couldn’t give proof that parabens were the cause for the breast tumors or that they’re only found in cancerous breast tissue or that the accumulation of paraben was a result of extensive use of these personal hygiene products. This means that there was not enough proof to make a direct link between the two.

Additionally, if you have any doubts we can inform you that the majority of deodorant and antiperspirant brands don’t even contain parabens so check if yours do and replace it if you like.

At the moment there’s no proven connection between breast cancer and the use of deodorants or antiperspirants. The main factors are still family history and the use of oral contraceptives.
